Aaron Holm - Executive Director
Aaron Holm is an entrepreneur and heart patient. From 2003 to 2016, Aaron founded and co-founded a series of innovative technology companies, including Markham Street Media (acquired), Industrial Color (acquired), and Mylio (growing), and was a member of the founding team building Amazon’s physical retail business, launching Amazon Go cashierless grocery store and Amazon Books.
In 2016, Aaron started Blokable. Aaron raised $35M from investors, including Vulcan Capital, Kapor Capital, Marc Benioff, and Revolution Ventures. Blokable built projects in multiple states and laid the foundation for the broad adoption of energy-efficient modular housing development.
In 2018, Aaron had a heart attack and a quintuple bypass, which changed the trajectory of his professional and personal life. Aaron is the founder of Mended Hearts of Puget Sound, a member of the Management Committee for the Cardiac Care Outcomes Assessment Program (COAP), and a member of the American Heart Association’s CHTI Digital Science Working Group.
Stephen Anthony - Technical Director
Stephen Anthony brings eight years of diverse software engineering experience to PatientCircle. His journey in technology includes founding AI Top Rank, where he developed and marketed a community platform for startup founders in the AI space. As the founding engineer at Blockworks, Stephen built a fintech application and led the product and engineering teams. At HealthTrust, he delivered critical features for a surgical coordination app used in hospitals, optimizing patient outcomes based on medical device usage. His roles at Accenture and Meridian Health Plan further honed his skills in full-stack development, project management, and team leadership, focusing on healthcare and enterprise solutions.
Motivated by personal experiences caring for his father and nephew during their heart surgeries, Stephen is passionate about supporting the heart surgery community. His technical expertise, particularly in developing healthcare applications and managing product and engineering teams, drives his commitment to creating a supportive and innovative platform for heart surgery patients and their caretakers.
Dr. Sarah Speck - Director
Dr. Speck has practiced cardiology and internal medicine in the greater Seattle area for over 20 years. She is the medical director of the cardiac wellness and rehabilitation programs at the Swedish Heart and Vascular Institute in Seattle. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a combined MD MPH (Masters Degree in Public Health) and did her post graduate medical training at the University of Washington Hospitals. She has always believed that preventing illness is the best approach to managing health and maintaining vitality at whatever stage of life. She has served as the Medical Director for the Dean Ornish Program for reversing heart disease and strongly supports the role of exercise and nutrition in preventing and reversing disease. In 2009, she co-founded POTENTRx, a medical fitness company, to offer patients a medically-supervised lifestyle approach to their health. She is an expert spokesperson for the Seattle community and educator for fellow professionals in illness prevention, disease-reversal and disease –management techniques. She believes that partnering with her patients offers the best possible avenue to improving and maintaining their health.
Adam Fuchs - Director
Adam Fuchs is a distributed systems expert with a long history of designing and developing some of the world's largest data processing architectures. He started his career at the United States Department of Defense, building specialized database systems and platforms for intelligence analysis. He was the co-founder and CTO of Sqrrl Data Inc, a cyber security threat hunting company (acquired). Most recently, he was a principal software engineer at Amazon Web Services, where he designed and deployed several security detection and analysis services. Adam is now focusing on his passion for improving social technology, and currently sits on a handful of public and private sector advisory boards.
